Vision Statement
To network community resources in order to equip young people to live a positive, purposeful life beyond the gates of incarceration, addictions, etc. To assist those who sincerely want to live a positive life, by making information available to learn how to make the needed lifestyle changes; while providing the means to exist during the transition period.
Mission
·Locate persons who want to get involved in helping former youth offenders
·Educate these persons on how to effectively do so; and
·Motivate the community to network resources so the youth will have the means to exist during the transitional period.
·Participate in hands-on support by providing transitional housing, job opportunities, mentoring, etc.
Program Description
Beyond the Gate is a Faith-Based Program aiming at providing the means for a person to:
oObtain inspiration and motivation to change through a weekly support group and mentoring; to receive help in deciding “What kind of man do I want to be?” and to be lead on a quest to discover purpose for his life.
oGain Information and Education in order to learn how to support himself financially, make better choices, set goals and to learn how to over come life-controlling problems (i.e. addictions, anger, criminal thinking patterns).
oExperience spiritual transformation through Biblical application and Christian fellowship.
oReceive affirmation and dedication from adults that believe in him enough to offer him a “hand-up” (not a hand-out) during the critical time of starting over. To have someone that is willing to not only share the resources that they have available in order to assist the youth to survive during transition, but to offer him true care and concern - a sense of acceptance and belonging.

Live Free From Bondage
Beyond the Gate Ministry is many faceted. My desire is to help people - from the prison chapel to the church pew - to go beyond the gates of whatever imprisons them. It is time for God's people to be completely free from hidden fetters and fears that hold them back from reaching their full potential in the Kingdom of Christ. As a chaplain, I see myself as a Kingdom builder rather than just a church builder. I hope that my songs will help open doors to make this happen. I have no aspirations on trying to be a "singing star" but I pray that my music will be an extension of my voice - ministering to people has they continue down highways of life. I also hope that my songs will get into the right hands and will help fund the vision I have for things like the below aftercare program for ex-offenders. I appreciate all the DJ's that are playing "God Never Fails" and "I Cry" on the radio and all of you that call your local stations and request to hear it. You can watch the video and read the story behind it on my video/story page.
I would also love for all of you to go to YouTube.com and leave a rating and comment about it. Pass it on!! <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0ScfJ5owak>
